Nokia announced 4 mobile gadgets – 5000, 2680, 7070, 1680

Nokia introduced four new economical handsets mainly targeting low cost and high feature savvy mobile users. The four new handsets include Nokia 5000, Nokia 2680 Slide, Nokia 7070 Prism and Nokia 1680 Classic. These mobiles are well suitable for emerging markets and especially for replacement purchases. Nokia believes that there would be more number of replacement purchases than the first-time buyers in emerging markets (China, India, Middle East and Africa).

Nokia 5000:

It comes up with dual band phone with GPRS, FM radio and Bluetooth. It also features 1.3 megapixel camera with high-resolution QVGA display. It also supports email and Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging feature. This handset will be available by third quarter of 2008. Expected price in India is Rs. 5500

Nokia 2680 Slide:

This entry level slim slider camera phone includes an FM radio with recording capability and MP3 ring tones.It also features expanded features. This handset also will be available in third quarter of 2008. Expected price in India is Rs. 4700

Nokia 7070 Prism:

Nokia 7070 which has a nick name of Prism, comes up with geometric pattern designs and external light effects. It offers full customization through content, themes and wallpapers and mp3 ringtones. It has voice a voice recorder and integrated hands-free speakers for ease of use when doing something else and even when driving and answering calls at the same time. Expected price in India is Rs. 3500

Nokia 1680 Classic:

Nokia 1680 aka Classic is the morst affordable phone of the four and will be available from Q2. It’s a dual band phone with GPRS and VGA camera. It features video recording and one-touch access for photos and videos. The Phone also has Sharing feature and email support. Expected price in India is Rs. 3500
