Videocon mobile services from August

Videocon mobile services will be rolled out from Chennai in the middle of August. The company said it is aiming for a market share in India in the next 5 years.

“We are aiming for 50 million subscribers in five years. The Indian market will have more than 500 million mobile users by then,” Videocon chairman and managing director Venugopal Dhoot said.

Videocon has got license for pan India operations and initially got spectrum for three circles in south India while awaiting the spectrum allocation for the rest.
