BSNL slashed STD and Roaming rates

State run, India’s leading telecom service provider BSNL has slashed its STD rates for Landline and Mobile phone subscribers upto 50%. Roaming rates has also been slashed for the mobile phone users.
Here are the details:
* Landline STD calls charges to all networks is slashed to Rs. 1.20 instead of current Rs. 2.40/min
* For rural users, Landline STD calls will be charged at Rs.0.80/min
* Calls to inter-circle BSNL network will be charged Rs. 0.60 instead of Rs. 1.20
* Pre paid and post paid subscribers will be charged Rs. 1.20 for BSNL network and Rs. 1.40 for other networks
* On roaming, all the incoming and outgoing local calls will be charged Rs. 1 while outgoing STD calls will be charged Rs. 1.40
* Monthly rental of “Super One India Plan” has been substantially reduced to Rs. 250 from the current Rs. 750
* All these tariff changes will be applicable from 10//06/2008 midnight.
