“vSleek” offer from Virgin

Virgin mobile, which is running its cellular service through Tata Telecommunications, has announced a new offer called “vSleek offer”, a combo pack for its branded vSleek mobile phone buyers. Under this offer on purchase of every “vSleek mobile @ Rs. 4,799, customers can avail lifetime validity voucher, a starter user kit and 2000 minutes free local calls to any mobile phone. These 2000 minutes will be spreaded over 5 months, and hence customers can enjoy 400 minutes local calls free for 5 months.

vSleek mobile phones, an ultra slim phone which weighs 66gm, is 10 mm thin, and sports 1.77-inch screen with 65K TFT display. The phone includes mp3 playing capability with FM radio and VGA camera. It offers 32 MB flash memory and 8MB SDRAM, 5 MB user memory and microSD card slot that supports upto 2 GB memory card. The phone is also capable of doubling up as a data modem with a speed of up to 153 Kbps.

vSleek mobile phone is available across 15,000 outlets nationally, and at some modern retail outlets including The Mobile Store, RPG Cellucom, Univercell, Croma, Convergem, and Mobile NXT.

Bottomline: 2000 minutes free local calls to any mobile and virgin special “Earn for your incoming calls” makes the offer worth, however Rs. 4,799 is way too high considering its limited features.
