GSM mobile subscriber base: June report

* India, world’s fastest growing GSM based telecom market, adds 6.32 million of subscriber in the June month, According to COAI (Cellular Operators Association of India). However this count is little less than last 6 months average which is about 6.46 million. June’s data doesnt include Reliance GSM subscriber base as the company hasnt reveal the details

* Bharti Airtel tops the list with 2.55 million users additon, while Vodafone comes second with the addition of 1.73 million subscribers. Surprisingly BSNL shows a fall in addition when compared to its previous month and added 0.36 million subscribers.  Other service providers like Idea cellular added 1.05 million and Aircel added 0.5 million

* Overall Bharti leading the list with 69.3 million subscriber base, Vodafone comes second with 49.1 million followed by BSNL with 37.3 million and Idea, Aircel, Reliance, Spice, MTNL and BPL with 27.1 million, 11.9 million, 7.7 million , 4.5 million,  3.43 million and BPL 1.37 million subscribers respectively
