Sony Ericcson might acquire Spice mobiles

Sony Ericcson, US based and third largest handset manufacturer, is holding talks with Spice mobiles, India based Mobile manufacturer and service provider, for an acquisition. According to ET, Spice mobiles is demanding Rs. 80 - 100 per share, which adds the value of Spice mobile around Rs. 7 million. However Spice mobiles shares are closed at around Rs. 22 in the Bombay Stock exchange which makes the market capitalization around Rs. 1.77 million. Hearsays says that Spice mobile initially approached Sony Ericcson for a wide range of partnership and collaboration, but as the talks progresses, both the parties felt that complete/partial acquisition would be a better option. We can expect more information on this deal in the next couple of days
