RIM(Research In Motion) is going to launch a new blackberry pearl called - BlackBerry Pearl 2 .The Pearl 2 is 30% lighter and 8mm thinner than the first avatar. Other changes includes: instead of the Pearl’s internal microSD slot, the Pearl 2’s is supposed to be external for easier access. Also the Voice Notes application has been enhanced and given a complete makeover: it will be housed as a component within the “Media” application and allow you to save all of your recordings and play them back upon command from your own collection. For the BlackBerry Pearl 2, both the CDMA and GSM variants are planned. The devices will be very similar, though the CDMA version will have GPS and no Wi-Fi, while the EDGE-capable GSM variant will sport Wi-Fi but no GPS.
