First look: LG unveils 8Megapixel handset - LG KC910

Korean electronics giant, LG electronics has today officially unveils its 8 Megapixel mobile phone, LG KC910. Interestingly this high resolution camera phone is just 14mm in thickness, considered as the slimmest phone in the segment. Not just only the megapixel counts, but also the technologies behind the camera software which includes options for manual focus, digital image stabilizer, face, smile and blink detection, makes the phone amazing. LG KC910 also has a Xenon flash and the lens wears the Schneider-Kreuznach seal. The phone has the ability to record video with VGA (30fps), QVGA (120fps) quality, ISO sensitivity of up to 1600.
LG KC910 doesnt have a keyboard and is simply a touch screen handset. It has a 3-inch TFT touch screen with a 240 x 400 pixel resolution and 256k colors. Other features includes quad-band GSM / 7.2 Mbps HSDPA support, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, GPS (for geo-tagging), TV-out, 8GB of internal memory that is further expandable with microSD memory cards. The handset is also equipped with Dolby sound, DivX and XviD for video playback, built-in GPS, a geotagging feature for photos. There is no information available on the operating system of the phone.
LK KC910 is consider as a successor to the well acclaimed, LG viewty and is expected to be the tough competitor to Sony Ericsson C905 and Samsung INNOV8. LG KC910 hits the market at October however there is no official information available about the price of the handset.
