IPTV in rural India; BSNL-Aksh launches IPTV services in Rajasthan

Optifibre Aksh in association with state run BSNL has launched IPTV services - iControl, in the kukus of Jaipur district and thus become the first IPTV service provider to launch the service in the rural parts of India. Aksh also announced the commerical launch of IPTV services in Jaipur city and with this BSNL broadband subscribers in the city will be able to avail IPTV service immediately. Aksh also planned to expand their service to other cities in the state in 6-8 weeks time.

BSNL- Aksh’s IPTV services, code named iControl, offers more than 120 channels including channels from Star, Sony, Neo, Ten Sports etc in a digital quality thru’ the high speed internet connection. In addition to this service, iControl also offers extensive hollywood and bollywood movie titles in its movie on demand service and at no extra cost. iControl also offers set of interactive services including Timeshift TV, Live pause feature etc. Voip and Video conferencing services are also accessible thru this IPTV service.

All these features comes on a economical monthly tariff of Rs 150. Aksh offers set up box for free to all subscribers against a fully refundable security deposit of Rs 999.
