Airtel tops earnings from STD, ISD services:

According to TRAI Bharti  Airtel earned Rs 1189.6 cr and Rs 624.1 cr from STD and ISD services respectively in the quarter ended with June.  ADAG owned RCom comes second with a revenue of Rs 591.4 cr and Rs 426.5 cr while state owned BSNL records Rs 721.5 cr and Rs 179.4 cr in the May-June quarter.

Tata Indicom’s new tariff for fixed wireless:

Tata Teleservices Ltd has slashed down the STD rates for their Prepaid Fixed Wireless customers. Under the new tariff, Prepaid Walky subscribers can make local calls to any network within the circle at 0.90paise/min and STD calls at Rs 1.50/min. Users will be charged Rs. 1/ SMS for all the local and national SMS. This offer is valid, for all existing and new subscribers activating with prepaid Indicom200 starter kit, across the country.

MTNL slashes STD and ISD SMS charges:

State owned Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Limited (MTNL) has slashed the STD and ISD SMS charges by 50% for its Trump prepaid customers. Now after this price slash, customers will be charged Rs. 1/ SMS for all National SMSs and Rs. 2.50/SMS for all the International SMSs.
