Samsung G800 camera phone with optical zoom

Samsung today announced the launch of the Samsung G800,a triband GSM slider with a dimensions of 101mm x 51mm x 19mm. What makes the G800 special is the 5-megapixel phone with 3x optical zoom and Xenon flash. An On Screen Display (OSD) shows various camera indicators in a horizontal preview mode. The large 2.4-inch QVGA LCD wide display allows users to view the screen like a digital camera, and the optical zoom lens is an inner zoom, where the lens does not extend outside the body of the phone. Samsung adds face detection and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) functionality, which makes more attractive. Samsung G800 also comes with other up-to-date digital camera features such as panorama shots, multi shots and macro shots. The G800 also provides a tool for sharing images and videos(with editing functions). A mobile blogging feature helps users to upload whatever they like(photos or videos). The G800 has a new viewfinder interface which is claimed to be intuitive and simple to use. The Samsung G800 also comes with 160 MB internal memory with microSD, GPRS, 3G, Bluetooth, USB, Stereo FM radio, supports MP3/WMA and common playback files. The Samsung G800 will be available in European countries from November 2007, and retail for approximately $500(Rs20000).
