DTH subscriber base grows 100% in seven months

Indians got another graph which grows up in the climate of graphs coming down and the graph is DTH subscriber base. The indian DTH industry has added double the number of subscribers within 7 months of period i.e March -Oct 2008 . 4.5mn connections was the number in March 2008 which now has ended with crossing 8 mn.

Zee Group’s DishTV frontrunner of DTH still holds 54% of market share by adding 4.4 million customers. The second largest player, Tata Sky Ltd, an 80:20 JV between the Tata Group and Star TV, claimed a subscriber base of 2.7 million in mid-October.
