Tata Indicom’s Instant Messaging Service

Now ask ‘thr?’ in your TataIndicom mobilephones. The company today announced the launch of Instant Messaging Service. The service has come up with the messenger like application which could be downloaded. (not yet released in Website) from TataZone site. The subscribers can use this application as Chat messenger as in PCs but only within Tata Indicom subscribers. One can maintain a contact list in that messenger.
The service is available for Pre-paid and Post-paid subscribers who have select models of Nokia, Samsung, Huawei and Motorola. Monthly unlimited subscription charge is Rs 49.
Pankaj Sethi, President, Corporate Services, Tata Teleservices Ltd, said, “The Tata Indicom Messenger was created with the objective of taking one of the Internet’s most popular applications—Instant Messaging—to mobile phones. Our vision is to create a cross-operator instant-messaging community, which, in times to come, will become the next big killer app on mobile, one that will likely replace the SMS as a communication medium.”
