OVERHEATING AND BATTERY DRAINS QUICKLY
1.0 stars
The Item has been received on 21st OCT 2017 and opened on 23rd OCT 2017. I have always been a big fan of BB. After using this for a week, I have noticed that the device is overheating numerous times and it's frustrating to see that the battery doesn't even last 6 hours a day. I am totally burned out! I have finally made the return request. Anybody is facing the same issues, please share.

Wonderful phone & no doubt about it has the best speakers, call quality, security, memory, processor and camera and screen size

Best phone by far, cannot compare,if the battery is having some problem for some I believe it is the android patch patch that needs to be updated and is not the phone fault, mine is running well almost like 6 months, and it is a simple thing dont buy it if you dont like it, dont use it if you dont like it, applicable to all phones in the market, I have friends colleagues who all use different models from different manufacturers and every one has the battery and heating and over pricing and single sim and processor and memory and shape and color and screen size and blah blah blah problems for every phone in the market including the premium ones,

Blackberry should be ashamed that someone who is investing 40k needs to get some benefit of the product. Poor battery life, heating, slow process, still Android 6 ?????

The DTEK60 is BlackBerry's flagship for 2016, just when we thought we've heard the last of them. Even though the design is exactly the same as the Alcatel idol 4s, there are quite a few features that separated it from the crowd. Is this worth your time and hard earned money? Let's find out in this BlackBerry DTEK60 review????.
Design: Like I said, you'll get the familiar Alcatel idol vibes here. The dual glass design with the metal frame feels nice in the hand. There's that same programmable convenience key to the right along with the volume buttons and the power button is oddly on the top left side. There's a headphone jack up top and a USB type C port on the bottom right corner. The phone is quite robust of not a tad bit slippery. It's very slim, at 7 mm and weighs around 165 gms. I don't have any complaints over the build, except for that oddly placed power button.
Display: The DTEK60 sports a crispy 5.5' QHD IPS LCD display at 534 ppi. The display is bright and perfectly balanced. It's bright enough to view outdoors and it's good viewing angles. Overall, it's a flagship quality display. Well done blackberry!????
Performance: The BlackBerry DTEK60 is powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.1 GHz along with 4 GB DDR4 RAM and the powerful Adreno 530 GPU. As you might imagine, this thing's a beast. It's swift and very smooth in day to day operation, with very minimal stutters. There's 32 GB of expandable memory on board.
The DTEK60 runs on Android 6.0.1 marshmallow with a mostly stock UI. There's the usual suite of BlackBerry's apps, like the Hub, which gets you all your messages from Twitter, Facebook, SMS all in one place. There's the quick widgets feature where you swipe up on a supported app and the respective widget will pop up. There's also the built in security app that monitors all the usage access requested by all your apps. Not to mention the excellent blackberry made keyboard app, which even though is a software now, still is the best in my opinion. The convenience key sill exists, and can be programmed to launch any app or shortcut. You can also program it to sleep the screen, as it is in the natural place where a power key would be. It can.t be used to wake the screen back up though.
There's a fingerprint sensor on the rear and it's kind of flush with the back glass. It's decently fast, nothing flagship quality. It feels like more of a mid-range biometric sensor to me. It's still quite reliable though.
Camera: The DTEK60 has a 21 mp rear camera at f/2.0 aperture and an 8 mp selfie snapper. The cameras are pretty good. They produce amazingly detailed shots in daylight, with excellent saturation and very well balanced dynamic range. The front camera too is wide angled and produces some crispy selfies. Low light performance isn't something to write home about????. The camera struggles in challenging lighting and produces blurry and noisy shots. It's overall a decent sensor that always has your back, in pretty much all situations. Just don't expect anything remotely close to a Galaxy S7 or the LG V20????.
Battery: The DTEK60 houses a 3000 mAh battery, capable of quick charging. It's decent in terms of standby, getting around 4
