No, but it can withstand minor water splash. I have seen in a YouTube video that it survived water immersion test for 1 min.

Honor 8x is the best one having very good features. But it is China made. No lag, no heating issue, good clarity, AI camera, good battery backup (2 days), a stylish phone (i purchased black), 2 VoLTE sim can be used, etc. I don't know about mi 5 pro.
