Absolutely useless phone....
I bought this phone from Flipkart on 22nd June.
The phone worked fine for a few days. Suddenly since about 5 days, I am not getting any network on both the sim slots. Tried checking the sims in other phones...works fine.
The phone has become a big headache now...
If this is the performance of the phone in the first 15 days, I'd rather suggest you not buy the phone....

IT HAS NETWORK ISSUE. IT IS MANUFACTURING DEFECT COMPANY IS CHARGING 8000 FOR RECTIFICATION OF THE SAME POST WARRENTY PERIOD.

Good points
1) Large screen gives good gaming experience
2) Battery life is excellent

Deficiencies:
1) Sound quality is below average, U can get better option frm other phones
2) No full HD available, In this range we can opt for full HD resolution
3) Processor is 1.2 GHz , but slower speed during browsing
4) Camera quality not up to the mark, software problem, U can not delete any photo by keeping it open, so if u have taken multiple photoes of the scene...

i have purchased lenovo P780 one month back....great performance. Battery backup is very good. good quality camera pictures and no problem of hang.............every thing is great but some what we have to compromise.

I have been using this since Oct 2013 and i will have to admit the satisfaction i get when i am able to cruise through 2 days of work without needing to charge the phone while my friends scramble for chargers to charge their samsung(s) or apple(s) every 6 hours. I think people who have forgotten the good old days of nokia 1100/5100/3230 etc running 2-3 days on a single charge will greatly appreciate the utility of having a solid battery.

I generally don't give reviews for anything.

But after using this mobile as my first Android phone, I ought to write a review after more than two years of usage.

Obviously now a days you can find a lot of options in Android segment for more than 1 GB but one thing that makes me stick with this mobile is it's battery backup.

After 2 years of normal usage, still I delivers battery backup for 2 days. Which is really rare for other mobiles in this range.

Believe me I am using this lenovo p780 8GB version since 2 years now. At start I loved it.Awesome I must say but after a year this phone started hanging alot.No ROM update from Lenovo.Stuck with Kitkat as lenovo has forgotten this phone.You wont find any custom rom for Lenovo Phones on Cyanogenmod Site.These phones start showing problems after warranty is over so I stritcly recomment do not buy any Lenovo Phones.

I am using it for last 3 months. I am satisfied and as a result I bought another one from Flipkart recently with 8GB memory.But I found flickering of the screen immediately after starting using it. Luckily Flipkart arranged refund without any fuss.
I would request Lenovo to resolve this issue and assure us so that I can again buy one.

I got this phone at ~15K from flipkart in Oct13.
I am very satisfied with the Phone in all its Smart aspects.
