Nope. Mine's working well. No major heating issues. Probably u should have 'location' turned off since it might lead to more battery consumption and some heating

Does it support normal standard sim? if not how can we convert normal sim to compatible to this device?
It supports micro sim. You can get your normal sim cut at any mobile shop and use as micro sim. Or else your operator can give you a new micro sim after you surrender the standard one and request for a new micro sim.
