I gifted one to my Wife...It's simply amazing phone..Greatttt camera, fantastic build quality, Wow screen. I was initially in doubts because of the Low battery specification but it's not a big thing if you don't use 3G, it's comparable to the other smartphones.

I read it somewhere this one has no external memory card slot...(correct me if I am wrong) But what if I need it?
I agree 16GB is quite a lot of memory for a phone though...

I am currently hunting for a good phone to have....I like XPERIA series. I like their front design, but the back is what is disappointing me in most of them. I wish they weren't curved. But that is subjective. May be others like it that way.

I agree with everything everyone else says, it's a great phone and i haven't had any major gripes with it as of today. Its a snappy phone with a clear display and the ui is really good.
One small gripe is that the bottom of the phone below the transparent plastic strip seems to be slightly vulnerable to tension, its moving a little bit (maybe about half a mm!). Maybe its just something to do with my phone. Otherwise its near perfect!! Go for it.

i am using this phone since the day it was launched...Its a superb phone..though i bought for 24k but still i am not repending.
this ph has good memory, sound clarity is 10/10, speakers are too good...Camera is Fine
As far as camera is concerned i will give 9/10..The only complaint that one can have pictures taken in dark are not gr8...but still quite satisfactory than other phones..obviously one cant expect a SLR quality.Display is superb..

Design: Mind blowing design. what a superb texture. I just love this. Now lets talk about the performance: 1 GHz Dual Core Processor with 1 GB RAM makes it a really fast. 13 GB memory for user is sufficient enough. In fact its good to have an internal memory which makes the memory access fast as compared to external SD card memory. you can run around 10 apps at a time without having any issue. Superb multitasking phone.
Battery: back is okay. I charge it in the morning and it lasts till mid...

At this price range with a pleasing display resolution, decent memory and processing capability, nice camera and good look makes xperia p an interesting purchase. But sadly though the battery life of this feature packed phone does not match the expectation of a novice user leave aside the ones constantly using the 3g features and playing games. Battery drains out almost completely with moderate 3g usage and few minutes of gaming in a day. Recharging after you come home from work is mandatory....

First of all let me tell you about the battery backup. No doubt it is not the best with backup. But the phone charges in an hour from any phone's charger(Arc S takes about 2hours). Plus the standby is superb. No issues for me.
This phone comes with earphones similar to Xperia Sola and they are brilliant.
The screen is just gorgeous with 900+ nits of brightness.
Solid form factor, feels so solid.
Camera key works well unlike Xperia U and Sola that have tacky camera key.
Would rate camera 4/5, ...

I have an samsung note and wanted to gift my wife a decent android phone, after spending few minutes on internet zeroed in on Sony Xperia range. And after reading reviews for various Xperia's selected this model.

Without a doubt I can say this phone gives you that premium phone feeling..
The build quality is amazing and the performance is also very good (with ICS).

Don't worry about "no expansion slot" 11.5 GB available space is good.. and you can also use USB on the go.. and that HDMI ou...
