conclusion:buy it.for 17K,nothing provides a better bang for the buck ratio.

It has everything including Jelly Bean and HD recording. However, you fret to try even the basic stuff. With WiFi the charge % goes down by 20% within 1 hr. For normal usage I have to charge the battery every day for sure. I have not used any other smart phone. But, I think they would give you around 2 days.

I have been using this phone for 20 days and this below is what I feel.....
I will not be dividing into pros and cons, please bear..

1) The camera is excellent with lots of pics better than my DSC and frankly speaking, for that WOW moment you wont have time to bring out, switch on your DSC to capture it, but this phone does just this with awe. Very fast capture speed. JUST one problem, sometimes there is extra light in indoor night shots.

Phone is awesome no doubt but is call quality sucks,using this phone i am able to hear everyone properly but next person gets voice in a cracking manner,may be some range issue,towers are also full,tried different service providers like airtel,docomo,vodafone,issue is same even with handsfree and on skype ,yahoo etc,
I donot recommend buying this phone as i ignored reviews and wasted money ,please you dont do so...

Containing everything that you could possibly get at this price. It's a good response of Sony to the Samsung maniacs. A feature rich phone, a combination of Sony's innovative strides towards technological excellence and the acumen of their designers.

For now i have been using the phone for the last one month Let me start with the
Pros:
Brilliant display
Battery life was decent(over fullcharging i am getting it for 1.5 days)
Cam quality and video recording was too gud.
playing both 780p and 1080p efficiently.
The most important thing Sony UI was damn gud compare to the other phones priced in this range.
Music quality was too gud(as they were always the best)
Overall the performance was gud.

I have been using this phone for the last 4 months. I bought this red one from a local market and it was Android 4.0 out of the box. two months back sony gave Android 4.1 upgrade to it ! Now it has stamina mode too. The display is excellent. Even when I am at home I rarely use my laptop. I instead prefer this phone both for movies and net surfing.

I also want to say something not only for this handset but for other handsets too. One should buy a phone that has screen size less than/eaqual to...

Hi Guys, Im using this piece from 20 days it is working very efficiently... white magic technology is awesome....and the battery is getting charged with in 45 mins....its a great advantage...other samsung phones will take time to charge about 2 and half hours and gets discharged in 15 hrs.... But xperia with 45 mins charging it is getting 13 hrs on normal usage with net and small games..If high end games are playing it is getting discharged by 7 hrs....The major drawback is loud speaker quali...

First, for those who think that the battery is enough just because there is White Magic technology and what not, professional reviews have said it has mediocre battery life, so stop saying the small battery is fine.
Otherwise, the phone is great, everything is there for the price. Dual-core, Mali 400MP GPU, enough storage at 13 GB, it's a good phone. Display is sharp thanks to the high resolution.
Great phone, Sony is doing great with these low cost Xperia phones.
