I have been using this phone for past two days and it works just as expected! Applications open very fast! Battery backup is also very good... The screen clarity and the aluminium unibody gives it a royal feel!

I have bought Sony xperia p today to be frank , 1 st thing u notice on the phone is the design its so sleek and quite handy and the design looks very good.
2.Now the next thing is display , when u see the display u say Wow its so clear and so good and even the touch is very smooth.
3.Camera 8 mega awesome very clear and even 0.3 meg front camera is good.Trust me pictures are very clear compare to galaxyS2.
4.About processor very fast and quick response and browsing internet ...

I bought the xperia P two days after its launch since I truly fell in love with its beautiful aluminum body. I liked all its features as well. It would have been an high end phone if not for the 1Ghz processor.
One concern while buying was its battery! Having used for 5 days now, I can tell you that the battery life is very good. Its Whitemagic is AWESOME, constantly calibrating the phone's brightness according to light conditions. I hear that the processor is low battery consuming too. Over...

Sony Xperia P, U and Sola use different chipsets from those in earlier released Xperia phones. It contains STE NovaThor U8500 while previous Xperia phones use Qualcomm Snapdragon. U8500 chipset is much more power efficient and hence lower mAh battery is being used.

We can't say that this is a mid-range device as per as the features are concerned.The mid-range devices are having atleast 1500mAh battery for 1GHz precessors.
But,wait a minute.This "SONY XPERIA P" is having 1 GHz Dual-Core processor with 4 inch display.It is definite that it will consume more battery power than the others of mid-range class.You are just giving a 1305mAh battery for this superb phone SONY ? Are you kidding with us ?

Xperia P. It stands out. White magic, Transparent strip, Aluminum Unibody are some exclusive features. The phone boasts a 1Ghz dual core proc and 1Gb ram. makes run applications smoothly. camera is superb and far better than lumia. Gaming graphics are also good, I guess mali400 gpu eats alot of ram. So far its good to me, recently upgraded to JB 4.1.2. got few more features. This Phone looks solid and feels solid in the hands, I like to see it kept on my office table. A black beauty...

Been using the Xperia P for about a year.
It's my third Sony and second Xperia.

I bought it for Rs. 20,500 a year ago from an authorized dealer. Surprised it still costs the same.

The good things:
- Build quality: The only phone that can cold a candle to apple's build. Metal body is a first and last for any Sony, I believe. And let's not even talk about Samsung, please.
- Handy size. 4" is good for a phone. Anything larger and you might as well buy a tab?
- Performance: Used to play HD game...

As you already know this phone comes with android 2.3.

* if you are goin to upgrade this phone to ICS then its totally flop.

* it is only optimised for ginger bread.

* after ICS you will feel many lags and frequent shut down.

* at present if you buy a latest phone them it shud be atleast ICS and which this phone doesn't perform well.

* if you are satisfied with ginger bread then its a great optimized cheap phone but I dont think sony's ginger bread is upto the mark.

Its 5 months since I am using this phone. If u wanna pamper yourself, buy it. Camera is superb. The night scene option really helps u to get the best possible pictur even on a moonless night. I just love it, especially the camera and morever the screen is a billion times better than samsung n other smartphones. If u are looking for an ideal phone, this is the best.
