I bought it last week used as is for two days it was good upgraded to kitkat 4.4.4 now its awesome phone for this price, very nice product overall.
As many have said it heats up if you watch even couple of songs on full brightness,use 3G for more than 10 minutes,etc
another thing i noticed was that its flash is not as bright as xperia u which I had (compared it side to side) which has its own advantages and disadvantages, front cam should have been better (only drawback hardware wise)

1-It heats up, but this is no problem, as Iphones have this same problem
2- The camera says 13 mp, with superior auto, but a Nokia phone of same megapixels shows slightly better quality than this phone's

Best Sony Phone till date..!!
I have been using this phone for more than a month now and I will go as far saying that this is the best sony phone till date. Even Better than Xperia Z as it has the same hardware as its elder brother.

Pros-
1. Lightning fast performance with Snapdragon S4 and 2GB RAM.(Antutu Score of 21400)

Xperia ZR is one of the most underrated phones that I have come about. on its price range the specs and functionality is extraordinary. I bought this phone from Flipkart some months ago and have been using its vigorously and have absolutely no major complain. Its truly wonderful. Some points that comes in the mind at the moment are-

1. Truly fast response with 2 GB RAM and 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, Quad Core. It has THE SAME specification on processor and RAM as xperia Z.

I have been using this phone for a month and prior to that had a Galaxy S2. Its a good phone, cant go wrong with it unless you are looking for Galaxy S4 or Lumia 1020 like rear camera quality.
