5.0 out of 5 stars Detailed Technical Review 5.0 stars
I am not doing any old fashioned reviews like Quality of photos or chipset or display, they are already available on YouTube. I am doing something different whether the phone is future proof or not. I have thoroughly studied its each and every specs and here I shall tell you some unique features which other phones do not have. 1) It Supports AV1 CODEC ON YOUTUBE AND NETFLIX PROMISING BETTER PICTURE QUALITY AND CAN PLAY 8K HDR VIDEO WITHOUT ANY LAG 2). SUPPORTS DOLBY VISION NATIVE PLAYBACK BOTH PROFILES 5 AND 8 AND EVEN ON NETFLIX 3). CAN RECORD DOLBY VISION VIDEO AND THERE IS A LOGO OF DOLBY VISION SUPPORTS DOLBY ATMOS PLAYBACK 5.1 CHANNEL DD+ JOC 4) You can switch to different lenes called MASTER LENS SYSTEM on this phone on portrait mode 5) No old buggy unwanted apps came pre-installed, it was a clean MIUI Kindly go through the reviews and think whether it is worthy of buying or not!

4.0 out of 5 stars Detailed camera review - Bought this for street photography 4.0 stars
Was looking for a pocket camera and decided to settle on this over the Sony Rx100VA, Canon G7X II, Ricoh GR III. It covers a huge focal range 14mm to 75mm and can be zoomed easily upto 200mm equivalent without much image quality loss. Of course it will not match the above cameras in dynamic range but quite close to it. The cameras will not have uwa below 24mm as well and not be this poketable. There is no shutter lag which makes this great for street snaps. Burst mode is good with high fps, but sadly in pro mode you cant do bursts. So there will be no way to control shutter speeds for the burst. Hope Xiaomi enables this in updates later. All sensors being 50mp is great and I was looking exactly for this and the large main sensor. Most of my shots in the 24mm to 50mm can be done with the 1 inch type sensor and what this brings is better dynamic range. With software gimmicks and smaller sensors there is no way to beat this, instead more artificats get created. Only S23 Ultra has comparable camera setup with extra 120mm tele lens but lacks the large sensor and priced much higher. Also Samsung photos look oversharpened to me. Another great aspect is the natural Bokeh of the larger sensor. This always looks natural while the portrait mode is also good but may mess up some images and since that mode is jpeg only there is no way to recover original image. Update: In the default portrait mode (not choosing any of the Leica lens simulations) the artificial Bokeh can be adjusted later in case the effects go wrong. I am using Leica Authentic and the images thankfully don't look overcooked. I had initially thought I would be processing the raws myself but no need, the JPEGs are good enough for most scenarios. There are some flaring issues with the main lens which are not there in the uwa and tele lenses. Nothing too bad though. The main sensor being 23mm is a bit too wide and I have to zoom to 35mm (1.5x) as that's the focal length I mainly use. There is a 2x mark but no 1.5x, hope Xiaomi adds that too in future as 35mm is the most versatile fl. Coming to the phone itself, It is quite good. What is missing is audio jack and SD card slot. I would have expected a new flagship competitor to add these perks to differentiate themselves. Xiaomi will not have 'luxury brand' status suddenly, so they could target functionality. The curved screen serves no purpose, makes images and video look bent along the edges!! MIUI 14 is ok, the apps don't go out of memory. This was a big issue with my Redmi Note 11 making that phone unusable for multitasking. Good that I got huge exchange offer for it more than new price. Double tap to wake works but double tap to sleep doesn't. And that 120W charger - makes me nervous. I still have the 33w charger from the previous phone which charges this under 1 hour. That is good enough for me as the phone lasts close to two days on a charge for my usage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest Alternative to Galaxy s23 ultra 5.0 stars
I have been a user for around 2 months of this device. Undoubtedly the still camera department is way better than s23 ultra or iPhone 14 pro. The edge detection of portrait mode is so accurate that it technically replaces your DSLR in many occassions. Positives: Charging speed: 120 watts charger is a beast. It charges the device to full in around 20 mins. Processor: The snapdragon gen 2 is super fast. Ive been playing pubg without any lag in full graphic settings. Battery: Impressive battery, the battery was consumed only around 40% after 3 hours of pubg. Camera: The portrait mode is the key. Also the super macro is one hell of a feature. I am very much happy that Xiaomi introduced depth in videos too which is identical to the iPhone's cinematic mode. Negatives: Video quality could have been improved. I feel that the software is not using the full potential of the sensor. Design could have also been improved. The device is handy but doesn't give that premium look.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing phone at an even more amazing price 5.0 stars
If you want an amazing flagship phone at an incredible price, this is the one to go for. Lets get to pros and cons PROS 1. Brilliant Display, with LTPO 3, great brightness and real vivid colors. 2. IP68 equivalent protection, even if it is not officially mentioned. 3. Charges to full in 20-25 minutes from zero. I rarely keep charge it more than 10-115 minutes and I am mostly done for the day. 4. Snapdragon 8gen2 is fast and efficient. 5. The camera system is out of the world good. You will not find a better camera phone at this price. 6. Super value for money as the phone is extremely cheap in India, compared to EU countries. Using exchange for old redmi phones, you can also get crazy discounts. I exchanged my 5 years old redni note 5 pro for 13000k. It is more than twice the price I will get if I sell that phone on OLX. CONS 1. Curved display is a pain to get a tempered glass for that also works with a case. 2. MIUI and its occasional bugs. Encountered nothing quite that serious though.
