Hi Guys... let me give you honest review after using this phone almost for a month.

I have bought Mi5 - Black and so my designing review is purely based on the Black Model.

- Designing and Build quality : It is a Awesome experience when you get a product in nicely packed box, with charger.
the black color and sliver thin edges looks really premium. perfectly build with black and gray on the rim. I am not exaggerating, but this phone is better than high end phones which come around 45000 +...

After reading lots of reviews and videos in YouTube, I finally decided to buy MI5 for my wife as anniversary gift. Delivery is quick (2 days).
For:
1.light weight (lighter than S7)
2.600+ nits of brightness - Better sunlight visibility.
3.Good Battery life.
4.Good back camera and Better front camera - My S6 was not a match for the front camera. With more resolved details, colours and contrast. This one is for selfie lovers. Front camera setup is more like HTC one M8 primary camera.

Okay, so first of all, it looks fantastic. I bought this phone for my dad and he loved the design. But beware, it is quite slippery.

The performance is great for day to day usage. The camera, awesome. Doesn't heat up much. Plays every game thrown at it smoothly.

MiUI 8 is sweeeeeeeeet. I have used every Mi Phone that has come out, except Mi Max since it's a bit too big for my taste. Only people who don't know anything about MiUI complains about it. Sure it eats up quite a bit of RAM, but ag...

battery - whole day. on 3-4 hours wifi usage. all day 3g network on.
speed - very fast.
screen - awesome.
design - more like iphone. v slim.
camera - front camera and back both awesome. front camera sometimes crop the image it clicked. i hope some software problem. might go in few updates.
heating - was heating before i upgraded the software. now its fine. no heating at all.
speaker sound - very loud.
Physical Home Button was annoying but i found we can convertit into capacitive touch also.

It was a very long research and equally long wait after which I decided to buy this phone.
I will make the review shorter but helpful..

1) Phone looks amazingly beautiful and feels premium no doubt about that and performance is snappy. SD820 although under clocked works like a charm.
2) compact design best for one hand usage.
3) Good back camera but OIS is not always trustable, front camera is top notch.
4) Battery life was average not bad,WORST AFTER UPDATE TO MIUI 8..
