Excellent phone overall.
Specially after all the updates.
All problems solved after update.
Very fast to use. Good screen quality.
Sound is ok. (my Motorola moto x play has better sound)
Looks are superb but have to put it in cover so no use of looks also.
I just wish battery was a bigger like at least 3500mah

Great battery life. MIUI exceeds expectations. Zero lag during complex tasks. Only problem to point out would be occasional heating issues during heavy usage. But completely satisfied with the product. Great to handle because of its sleek design.

Have received defective product...there is red smudge which is clearly visible in dark colors...so basically screen is defective...
Hopefully will get screen replaced from service center
performance wise its good product in all aspects considering price...camera is excellent almost like one plus 3 but at lesser price.

I have mi4 before. So, little hesitate to upgrade as it was a fantastic device. But after getting MI5 now completely satisfied. The improvements from mi4 are
1.latest snapdragon 820processor with dual channel ram) 3gb
2.16mp camera with latest Sony IMX298 sensor with ois takes mind-blowing pictures.
3.very slim ans stylish. (128grm only)
4.Battery last for a day with 5-5.5 hours SOT.
5.Dual 4g with Volte.
So, I definitely recommen it to everyone who wants to upgrade from mi4

Though I have not used I phones, I can surely say that there is only a difference of M in both phones. Awesome experience using Mi5 for last 4-5 months. Mi is a good brand. But this one is light weight , slim and ergonomic. Earlier I was using xperia C. Battery backup is not at par with xperia. But, that is totally ok with me.
