The Product is OK type in this price. But I have purchased Redmi 1S also. Redmi 1S is better than 2S. In look wise as well as in performance also. MIUI 6 is not good as MIUI 5 (How ever Xioami has released update for miui 6 but i have not tested updated version so far.) In India 4G sets are not having worth as 99 % network is 2 or 3 G).
Finally do not purchase till 2GB RAM version is not coming or its price is not reduced.

Don't get attracted to its cheap price. I bought this and faced a lot issues: Heat issue : It will be too hot when you play games, or while talking on phone or charging it. I purchased redmi 2 and when i received the product and started to use it its get heated up to 80 C while playing games and stand by temperature used to get about 55 C Average (It means phone is still hot in your pocket that you can feel it) And the battery was also deteriaoting very fastly (within 4 Hours of normal use). I am using this phone from last one week and havent yet put my sim card into the phone

1. The phone takes too long to charge about 3 hours
2. The battery drains automatically in standby mode
3. the heats up some much that you cant even hold it, to cool down the phone u have to switch it off
4. i did normal movie transfer of 700 MB using superbeam application and phone heated like anything and battery started to drain very fast

Pros.
the build quality is decent the phone feels good to hold
the display is brilliant
the UI is awesome and is loaded with many features which other phones may not have
the battery life is excellent
the display is vivid with good viewing angles
both the cameras are excellent and captures sharp images
the gaming and performance is also very smooth with no lags

the only cons. is the heating issue while using the phone

So many problems on the very first day.
1. Flipkart delievered it in 3 week time
2. Primary Camera is not even 2 mpx and secondary is VGA
3. Phone launcher error every 5 minutes
4. WHATSAPP OR ANY OTHER NOTIFICATION LIKE GMAIL IS NOT WORKING UNTIL AND UNLESS YOU OPEN THESE APPS. So many complaints already registered but this chinese company is not even replying over it

6. android 4.4 kitkat upgraded(worst experience)
7. take a day long to charge the battery
8. NO TWO APP...

after hearing so much about redmi 1; ..took the redmi 2 but this phone is very delicate .. and most importantly delay while opening any application lot of lag in response .. its acts like very old phone... and voice brakes frequently
disappointed with product , even after troubleshooting there is no improvement
I would suggest not took any one....the back panel is just like paper think ness .. it wont sustain for ..surely it will damage the batter is its fallen

Well, to be honest this mobile is simply a stunning package of superb features! Let me review in brief..

1. Build: Slippery but manageable, looks beautiful. Very light and can be used with one hand.

redmi 2 is good mobile under range of 7k but display ppi is low in on opinion. battery backup is also matter of concern, don't know will they update to android L because redmi 1s is still on jellybean.
