I asked xiaomi about the 2gb ram version of redmi 2 as miui is very loady os.. But they refused to give any answer so bought redmi 2 1gb ram version, but its a headache a lots of hanging issues everytime.. And also a heating bar.. only the plus point is camera.. So dont buy until 2gb ram variant comes.. Thank you!

Ram consumption is still the same (approx 700 MB out of 1024 MB) which is very high compared to Lenevo A6000. Only look and feel has been changed in this phone.
Light weight phone which is the only good change.
Its better not to spend 1000 Rs more with compare to Redmi 1s.
Nothing special about this phone.
Battery is same as Redmi 1s.
Battery gets drained 60% in just 1 hour with 3G network and in 3 hours with 2G network.

My suggestion is NOT TO BUY THIS PHONE.
BETTER TO WAIT FOR ANY NEW PH...

My review about this phone is given below
1. Heating issue still there when we use the mobile for Music or Data connectivity
2. Battery drain much faster when using Data
3. Multitasking lags

Dear all I am writing this review after using 3 days of Redmi 2. Good Service by Flipkart.Come to the point ... I have na iPhone also with iOS 7.1 its almost same . Awesome MIUI .
Nice touch and Display.
Nice Battery. Camera performance is too good.
OS is same like iOS just awesome very customize. You can manage all the things like notification,multitasking,privacy etc etc.
Now whoever is telling that they don't receive Whats-app,FB,Twitter push notification and blaming Redmi2 please don't...

Very good service by Flipkart, as usual. But the Redmi 2 disappoints. Despite 1GB RAM, its slow, very slow, After every step it takes time to load launcher. Very poor in multitasking. If you are running 3-4 apps simultaneously, they crash, and its routine thing. What will you do with a smartphone which fails in these things. Heating issues remains. Try playing a game or play music on phone speakers, it heats up.

UI is good, sound output is good, battery is decent, rear camera is good.

Processor quite fast, MIUI 6 very responsive,
excellent screen display,
good quality plastic used,
good battery backup.

In comparison of other same priced phone, this is the No.1 phone.
1. Display is Superb.
2. Sound Is Also Superb And Clear In High Volume Of Phone Internal Speaker.
3. The MIUI 6 Is Also Superb In Comparison Of Redmi 1S MIUI 5
4. This Phone Have Very Good Quality 8MP Rear Camera (In this phone The Images Appear Little Warm, But After Used In Manual Mode With Florescent WB Its Look Good, Hope Xiaomi Solve this Very Soon ) Same As Redmi 1S, Front Is Also Awesome For Selfies Lover.
