Most probably it is, but practically you really won't feel the need to get upgraded because the marshmallow itself in this is very fast and lag free and bug free too, you can buy this phone for sure.

Yu hasn't specifically mentioned that the display is Gorilla glass, so I don't think it is Gorilla glass. However, the provided protection is of a rather robust quality.
