I have recently bought this newly launched mobile phone from flipkart.com and received it on 9th June.

Initially when I started using this new mobile phone, I was really disappointed with the User interface of the operating system since I had many problems with mobile hang up stock dialer not responding and some other minor things.

Great value for money. The product really beats all the competition in its range.
Pros:
1. The great 1080p display - Absolutely mesmerizing
2. Great Rear Camera.
3. Good UI customization provided by Alcatel
4. Reliable Battery that lasts a full day
5. Great accessories. - JBL earphones and BoomBand

Cons:
1. Would have loved to see Alcatel provide for Expandable memory
2. The secondary camera is just 2MP.

The phone was delivered on 9th june and it has been scarcely used since then but still I charged it 3 times! From 100% to 50% the battery backup is decent but not at all good and from 50% to 25% it is bad and from 25% to nil it just races at the rate of 2% per 30 seconds.I cannot play videos and use heavy duty apps cos' if I do that the battery would get over in half a day max.I bought 4 phones from flipkart out of which 2 had to be replaced and this is the 3rd one! Bought this phone at Flipkart on 10th Jun and it was delivered same day at my door step. Amazing service by Flipkart, havent seen any online shop delivering so fast in my experience.

Hi my self ashish i bought this phone 2 days back, the phone is really nice and kind of value for money battery backup is also nice as i fully charged my yesterday was on roaming till night using 3g, and only attended 8-10 call and still 29hrs i have 58% battery life!!!! but my major concern is the accessories no Scratch Guard or Cover is available in the market or any website. somebody please help with this

The mobile looking good..But Not in performance.. Getting heat with normal apps running. If i play any (pre loaded) games getting more heat.
I will update more in the coming days.
I am not happy with this mobile.

First, let's see the competitors - Canvas Knight, Karbonn Octane Plus, Panasonic P81, Elife S5.5 Overall, this phone has better specifications and build. The only question would be if this phone will last for atleast 1 year, soon to be found out. Otherwise a great phone, the boomband is a good additional accesory and JBL earphones are just faad. I didn't want to just shoot off my first initial impression about the phone without having used it for a couple of days - especially in regards to battery life.

In short - I am quite impressed and happy with the phone. It has indeed exceeded my expectations.

My main criteria for getting this phone was the battery capacity, the screen size, the PPI density and the 2 GB RAM. The battery backup has been my biggest criteria - considering that my previous phone just used to eke out 12 hours.

Been a day since i've been using this phone.

The phone is very slim, very light and very comfy to hold. Overall the feel is good!!
The Mediatek Octa-core processor doesn't quite match the prowess of Snapdragon 800's or 801's, but it doesn't under-perform in any way. Asphalt 7 runs butter smooth, and multi-tasking is a breeze!
Front Camera is top-notch! Back camera is very good too!
Music is a pleasure to hear in JBL speakers.
