OnePlus 9 Pro User Reviews

Warp charge with Warp drain 1.0 stars
I know that with so much competition, its more about marketing than actual product. My only expectations were a good camera, high performance processor and a long battery life. Since I was switching from Oneplus 5, the camera system and the performance was a good upgrade for me. BUT unfortunately the battery was way out of expectation. Fully charged at 09.25am, it died at 16:49pm under low usage. I didn't install any demanding apps or games. Also the back side was pretty warm all of the time, even when not doing anything. Before that day I left the phone at 50% while going to sleep and in the morning it was 38%. Its definitely a defect with such a low standby time for a new device. There's no point in 30 minutes fast charge if the drain is that fast. In two days of using the device I had to charge it 3 times. It could be a defect on my unit only but unfortunately I had to return it. I could have waited to see if an update could solve it but just didn't want to end up in the service center fiasco. Everybody knows how after sales service works in India. Lets wait more to see if others complain about the same too.

Oneplus care app diagnosis says battery is faulty, those who bought please check yours too 1.0 stars
tends to heats up even on normal use and it never cool down(even after april 19th update), it kinda always stays warm even without any use. So i run a diagnosis on my battery on oneplus care app and the result says that' battery seems faulty'?, please check yours too , i have requested to return the product. Please dont buy this phone now , because this phone gonna fell to 55k price tag( you lose 10k to 15k if you buy now) The camera really sucks , not upto the hype, samsung s8 have cameras better than this, Front cam (the worst one) - i can count the pixels on the photo I choose oneplus 9 pro over ROG 5 because i thought i would get better camera quality and what to say i regret now for choosing oneplus 9 pro over rog 5 Mark my words guys ,you definitely gonna regret on purchasing this 9 pro Its over priced and over hyped I recommend you to buy this only when the price is below 55k( well it gonna be in that price tag soon , since nobody is fool enough to by this at 70k , with all this defect, they definitely do need to reduce the price for some to buy this) My last words for those who are willing to buy this now , you definitely gonna be in headache, stress, deep pain for spending this money for not at all that good. This word is from my heart to those planning to buy a new phone ," please dont buy oneplus 9pro

Amazing potential, disappointing launch quality. 4.0 stars
I feel like early buyers are essentially being used as beta testers by OnePlus. And I will explain why. When you look at the specs this phone is no doubt a flagship. They have also improved the cameras, where they were previously lacking. Even with all the bugs on launch, the photos taken on this phone are just delicious! Low light photography is mind-blowing. The custom sensor they made with Sony is doing its job. The "natural color science" that they worked on with Hasselblad is also showing some results... skin tones in photos taken with this look much more realistic compared to other phones at this range (S21 or iPhone). So its definitely not just for marketing. So why did I give it such a low rating? I would have given it 4/5 stars, if it weren't for the insane overheating issues. On the first day, it got really hot (almost 50 degrees) while setting it up. I thought this might have been just because of all the data restoration that was taking place. But afterwards, while I was checking out the camera, it started overheating again and I got a warning within 5 minutes! The phone blocked me from taking any more photos till it had cooled down again. Keep in mind I was not even taking 4k videos, just some casual photos. I tried this after removing the case but it was still happening. Because of this reason alone I have given 2 stars, since there's no point of such amazing cameras if you can't use them for more than 5 mins straight! I have raised this issue to OnePlus, following which they replied with lengthy steps to collect logs from my device while it was overheating. So now I feel like I have unwittingly become a beta tester just for buying it early. Hopefully they can fix this with a software update (I believe one good thing about OnePlus is they always listen to their users). If they do I will increase my rating. EDIT: There has been multiple software updates since my last review, and I'm glad to say that the issues have been mostly fixed! It still warms up slightly when using camera, but I guess this is the case with all devices using Snapdragon 888 chip. However, there has not been an incident of the phone blocking me from using camera, so that's great! Currently I'm on OS version 11.2.4.4. I have increased the rating from 2 to 4 :)

Extremely overpriced 1.0 stars
After a much of a thought I bought this mobile with hard earned 70k. The battery drains like hell even after update. The mobile heats up so much that you use this as an iron for pressing clothes. The camera is average at best (worse than lg v30 plus). Many mobiles have high refresh rate display. 70k is not justifiable for this mobile. Should have been 25k to 35k.

Performance and Camera both are good, 5.0 stars
As people said phone getting over heated, i too faced similar problem. But after updating the available system update the problem doesn't persist. Coming to Performance of the phone it's Top in the class. Looks too good. Camera is fine, Hasselblad technology only works in pro mode, Nightscape mode is ultimate. Overall i can say Good Phone, you can buy without any hesitation.

Heating issues even after two OTA updates 1.0 stars
no that great camera quality as expected. processor is very fast for sure. but the 1 hour of video call makes mobile super hot and a warning is flashed about phone getting over heated. thinking of returning it. very disappointed with oneplus poor quality highly overpriced phone. My old oneplus 6 still works well and has no heating issues. have started using old phone as 9 pro has some serious heating issues even after two OTA updates which mentioned that heating issues would be resolved. I believe its processor which is heating up quickly and there is not ventilation/air cooling system. Don't think oneplus can fix this by software updates. Had returned the phone due poor battery life and most importantly heating issue. Phone not worth the money. My OnePlus 6 performs better than 9

Awesome device, with software issues to address 4.0 stars
Pros: * Phone design is premium * Phone front camera has good clarity and takes detailed pictures * Display looks awesome and 128Hz refresh rate allows smooth navigation, browsing & animation. * Didn't hang at all in my medium usage * No display hardware issues like its predecessor oneplus 8 model (that is why I waited for next model for buying) Cons: * Though the power consumption of display at 128hz refresh is improved compared to previous models. The battery still suffers. Oneplus should improve on this (I believe even 128 Hz display from other top brand models too suffers the same - checkout the phone drain test in youtube) . * Phone heats up during heavy usage (shows warning message) but cools down pretty quick. * Disappointed that the transparent phone cover wasn't provided. The default one that comes inside the box hides the premium aluminum body. Phone is worth the price with certain shortcomings, that I believe can be addressed in future software updates. After 10 days of usage: Received update for battery life, and that seems to have solved the battery drain problem. Haven't played any graphic heavy games, but heating issue seemed to have vanished.
